The brief.

The massive online retail brand needed high-quality UX for their entry portal to a huge sweepstakes promotion; thorough legal compliance; and providing a positive customer journey across the global live markets which included: Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom and United States.

The solution.

Here’s what we ultimately did to power this promotion:

  • Set up a user journey for customers to register for the promotion by logging into their account.
  • Tracked data on how many raffle tickets someone earned via the purchases they made using the retailer’s service
  • Created an account area for customers to keep track of the tickets they've earned
  • Built a customer service dashboard that customer service support could monitor and use to answer customer queries

Legality & Regulatory Management:

  • Created separate no-purchase-necessary routes for entrants in the USA and Canada for legal compliance - for Canada, we created rotating skill-based questions to allow free entries
  • Completed the draw routines across various countries as per the relevant local laws
  • Directed users to claim their prize and fill out relevant waivers and tax forms if their prize was over a certain value

Prize Fulfilment & Winner Management:

  • Delivered retailer’s vouchers directly to the customer's account to simplify the journey and prevent ‘lost vouchers’ 
  • Offered actual voucher codes for countries without an option to deliver directly to their account
  • Compiled the winner lists
